Santorini: what town should I stay in? There are 3 main options if you want to overlook the caldera or volcano crater (which you do!) Oia, Imerovigli or Fira. All are stunning and there’s a regular bus you can catch to move between them for a couple of Euros. I think Fira is your best option. It’s where the port is but most of the tourists tended to head to Ola so Ola was super busy during the day. There are other small towns including Imerovigli but I think they are a little too small with few bars and shopping. My overwhelming advice. No matter what town you’re in make sure it’s overlooking the caldera. Pay the extra for a view. It’s totally worth it and you will regret it if you don’t. My vote for a town is Fira.
